And more photos in Phnom Penh

Some construction workers at a building site next to us. It's crazy how they can balance so nonchalantly up there!

Scrubbing in with Dr. Ngiep on a cleft lip. (That's me on the left, in case it's a bit difficult to tell.)

Some of the hospital staff at the "housewarming" party we had on Friday night.

Fruit at "Russian Market", or Psar Tuol Tom Pong. Notice that lovely pile of dragonfruit in the front there! Haven't bought any yet, although we've been eating it in fruit salads. We ended up buying a kilo of lychees for $1.25 from this lady.

Yesterday, we visited the killing fields at Choeung Ek (15 km from Phnom Penh) and the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum. I will try to write a bit about that in a few days--need a while to process what we saw. It was overwhelming to finally appreciate the magnitude of what happened. (8000 skulls in the memorial stupa at Choeung Ek; room after room of black-and-white photos of the 20,000 people who were tortured at Tuol Sleng).
